About INSAF

By Students, For Students, To Students

Our Story: The Birth of a Movement

INSAF wasn’t born in a boardroom—it was forged in struggle.

In July 2024, a tragic incident in ORN, Delhi shook India’s student community to its core. Three young aspirants lost their lives in a flooded underground coaching’s reading room—a preventable disaster caused by neglect and crumbling infrastructure.

This was the breaking point.

On 28th July 2024, students across India erupted in peaceful protest, demanding:

  • Right to study without fear 📚

  • Safe housing 🏠

  • Dignified living conditions 💧

  • Protection from exploitation ✊

  • Nutrition & healthcare 🍎

That protest became a revolution. INSAF was born.

🎯 Our Mission

We fight for every student’s right to safety, dignity, and justice—because no one should risk their life to get an education.

What We Stand For:

✅ Safe Campuses: No more deaths from neglect.
✅ Affordable Housing: End exploitative hostels/PGs.
✅ Nutrition & Health: Nutritious food, mental health support.
✅ Anti-Exploitation: Stop fee hikes, teacher shortages, and corporate greed.
✅ Unity Beyond Borders: From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we’re one voice.

Who We Are

INSAF is India’s united student front, built by:

  • Coaching aspirants from ORN

  • University students facing fee hikes

  • Hostel dwellers in unsafe buildings

  • Every student tired of being ignored

We’re not just an organization—we’re a family of fighters.

Our Work

Since Day 1, we’ve:
🔹 Exposed unsafe hostels through nationwide audits.
🔹 Won policy changes in Delhi states for student safety.
🔹 Fed 10,000+ students via community kitchens.
🔹 Stopped functioning of unsafe basement reading halls throughout India by protests.

Next Goal? A Student Commission of India —because promises aren’t enough.

A student’s life shouldn’t be a battle—but if it is, we’ll fight it together
